Tal y como os avanzamos a principio de mes (http://www.motorpasion.com/prototipos/el-volkswagen-beetle-se-descapotara-en-pekin), Volkswagen ha llevado a Pekín al E-Bugster Concept, pero con el techo suprimido. Es lo único que cambia, mantiene todo lo demás: motor eléctrico de 116 CV y baterías suficientes para trotar sin emisiones durante hasta 160 km (en ciudad 180 km).
Es un biplaza, donde irían los pasajeros traseros, hay 28,3 kWh de baterías de ión-litio. No significa que el próximo Volkswagen Beetle Cabrio vaya a ser así, eléctrico y biplaza, pero si así fuera, sería un juguete bastante divertido. Se puede recargar de forma rápida, en 35 minutos el 80% de las baterías ya estarían llenas de electrones.
Para el día a día 0-100 km/h en 10,8 segundos es más que suficiente. Se cree que el modelo de producción esté listo para finales de año, las versiones previas del Beetle han tenido su descapotable, y de lona flexible.
