Ford ha aprovechado el Salón de Los Ángeles para sacar a pasear la familia Fiesta al completo. En Estados Unidos, los nuevos Ford Fiesta que se anuncian como edición 2014 comprenden una gama completa, con 3 y 5 puertas y una curiosa berlina media que… para gustos, colores. Decididamente, lo más apetecible es la versión ST, que tendrá versión de 5 puertas en el mercado americano.
El motor EcoBoost está en toda la gama, y en el Ford Fiesta ST se montará el 1.6, que rendirá 200 CV de potencia y 290 Nm de par motor con un consumo estimado de 6,92 l/100 km. En Ford no dudan en hablar de la potencia específica por litro que da su motor, de 125 CV por litro, para comparar el Fiesta ST con el Lamborghini Aventador, que rinde 110 CV por litro. Sí, hay comparaciones algo llamativas.
Ya con los pies más en el suelo, la competencia directa del Fiesta ST la componen modelos como el MINI Cooper S, con 184 CV, y el Chevrolet Sonic RS, con 140 CV.
