Rumores rumorosos cuentan que hay un SUV a punto de obtener la luz verde en Rolls-Royce. Si por parte de Volkswagen Bentley tiene uno en camino (http://www.motorpasion.com/todoterrenos/luz-verde-para-el-suv-de-bentley), ¿van a ser menos en BMW? Pues no, se ve que no. Al menos así lo explicó el directivo de Rolls-Royce, Torsten Müller-Otvos, a Automotive News durante el Salón de Frankfurt (http://www.rfactor-sp.es/tag/salon-de-francfort).
Del SUV de Bentley, que llegará al mercado en 2016, se especula que tendrá un precio base de unos 180.000 euros. En Rolls-Royce son plenamente conocedores de ese dato, y quizá por eso el precio del futuro SUV de la firma podría rondar los 250.000 euros. Precio desde, sí.
Para Müller-Otvos, el segmento SUV es “interesante”. ¿Y para qué fabricante no lo es? Si echamos cuentas, veremos cómo el SUVperlujo se extiende como una mancha de aceite: Jaguar C-X17 (http://www.motorpasion.com/prototipos/jaguar-c-x17-sports-crossover-concept), Maserati Levante (http://www.motorpasion.com/industria/fiat-mirafiori-fabricara-el-maserati-levante), Aston Martin Lagonda (http://www.motorpasion.com/aston-martin/aston-martin-confirma-el-retorno-de-lagonda), Lamborghini Urus (http://www.motorpasion.com/prototipos/lamborghini-urus), Bentley… y ahora Rolls-Royce.
