Una nueva película de carreras de coches se está cocinando en Hollywood. Es una adaptación del libro “Go Like Hell: Ford, Ferrari and Their Battle for Speed and Glory at Le Mans” de A. J. Baime, que cuenta la lucha que mantuvieron Ford y Ferrari en las pistas en los años 60, concretamente en las 24 horas de Le Mans.
Se habló de este proyecto antes, Michael Mann iba a dirigirlo, pero finalmente será Joseph Kosinski (“Oblivion”, “TRON: Legacy”). Dos nombres muy relevantes están ligados a esta película, Tom Cruise y Brad Pitt, que no trabajan juntos desde “Entrevista con el vampiro” (1994).
Cruise encarnará al mítico preparador Carroll Shelby, que falleció hace dos años (http://www.motorpasion.com/otros/fallece-la-leyenda-del-automovilismo-estadounidense-carroll-shelby). El papel que interpretaría Pitt no está claro, de hecho no hay confirmación oficial de que vaya a trabajar en la cinta. Si la película se acerca al nivel de “Rush” (http://www.motorpasion.com/tag/rush), estoy seguro de que será un taquillazo.
