En 2015 el Fiat Punto habrá cumplido una década, después de cambiar de nombre tres veces: Grande Punto (http://www.motorpasion.com/compactos/fiat-grande-punto-my-2008), Punto Evo (http://www.motorpasion.com/fiat/fiat-punto-evo-la-evolucion-del-grande-punto) y Punto 2012 (http://www.motorpasion.com/fiat/fiat-punto-2012-un-punto-para-el-ahorro-desde-8814-euros). Este utilitario ya va necesitando un reemplazo, y por lo visto lo jubilará un Fiat 500 5 puertas. Sí, otra variante más del pequeñajo.
El jefe de diseño del Grupo Fiat —Lorenzo Ramaciotti— ha confesado a Auto Express que llegará en torno a 2015, ya que el año que viene toca el Fiat 500X y no quieren pegar tantos lanzamientos. El cinco puertas no partirá del 500 corto, sino de una plataforma modificada del Punto actual, más grande.
La gama 500 ha crecido bastante: 500, 500C (descapotable), 500L (familiar 5 plazas), 500L Living (familiar 7 plazas) y 500L Trekking (crossover). Ya tenemos confirmadas dos variantes más, un total de siete modelos 500, Abarth aparte. El futuro del segmento A/B de Fiat pasa por las familias Panda y 500, me temo que la Punto pasará a punto y final.
