A grosso modo nos encontramos ante un producto redondo. Una de sus principales bazas es el precio, no encontraremos nada tan completo en su categoría, con esta potencia y con este equipamiento. El Opel Insignia OPC es un acierto dentro de la exitosa gama Insignia, un antes y después para Opel.
He probado varios modelos OPC (Meriva (http://www.motorpasion.com/videos/prueba-opel-meriva-opc), Zafira (http://www.motorpasion.com/videos/prueba-opel-zafira-opc), Corsa (http://www.motorpasion.com/deportivos/prueba-opel-corsa-opc-parte-1) y Vectra SW (http://www.motorpasion.com/deportivos/prueba-opel-vectra-sw-opc)), pero este es, con diferencia, el más fácil de conducir, de forma deportiva, manteniendo un alto nivel de seguridad y desde luego con un confort no visto en los otros modelos deportivos de la marca del rayo.
La gama OPC permite compatibilizar el gusto por los coches divertidos pero sin hacer grandes sacrificios en el uso diario, y este es un buen ejemplo. Podemos considerarlos como dos coches en uno: deportivo y práctico, aunque más enfocados a lo primero que a lo segundo.

Valoración general
Por unos 40.000 euros de media podemos tener con este coche lo que las marcas rivales nos cobran más bien por 50.000-60.000 euros, como compra está realmente bien. Por otra parte, como deportivo se le pueden criticar algunas cosas, como que le pesa el culo, pues el familiar sube de peso mucho respecto a los 4p/5p.
Esta carrocería la recomiendo si te gusta su diseño, o si necesitas su practicidad. Si no, lo mejor es comprarlo en sedán o berlina, corren más, pesan menos y consumen menos. Ojo, y no pretendo hacer ningún desprecio hacia los Insignia más potentes de la gama convencional, que también los hay 4×4 como este.
Cuando digo que este coche marca un antes y un después, lo digo convencido. Opel está creciendo en calidad en segmento C/D más rápido que varios competidores, y en el caso del Insignia, le veo más compitiendo con los Premium que con los generalistas, aunque no deja de ser un generalista que va a rebufo de los Premium.

En los Premium vamos a encontrar más posibilidades de equipamiento (mucho más caras), motores incluso más potentes y desde luego más agilidad debido a pesos más optimizados. En el Opel Insignia OPC quizás se han pasado un poco en hacerlo tan sólido y confortable, se han olvidado de hacerle una liposucción.
Me han gustado mucho sus sistemas de seguridad, aunque echo de menos soluciones ya vistas en su segmento, como el control de crucero activo por radar (ACC), o el sensor de volante “manos libres” (vamos, detecta que lo sueltas) o frenada de emergencia automática. Lo veo en tecnología puesto al día de todas formas.
Si consumiese menos y tuviese un peso más optimizado se habría llevado una nota superior. Me quedo con el gran salto sobre el Vectra OPC, parecen coches hechos por marcas diferentes. Cómo se han notado casi 10 años de avances, ¿cómo será su sucesor? Se me ponen los pelos de punta, y los de la cabeza también.

Cuando digo que este coche marca un antes y un después, lo digo convencido. Opel está creciendo en calidad en segmento C/D más rápido que varios competidores, y en el caso del Insignia, le veo más compitiendo con los Premium que con los generalistas, aunque no deja de ser un generalista que va a rebufo de los Premium.

En los Premium vamos a encontrar más posibilidades de equipamiento (mucho más caras), motores incluso más potentes y desde luego más agilidad debido a pesos más optimizados. En el Opel Insignia OPC quizás se han pasado un poco en hacerlo tan sólido y confortable, se han olvidado de hacerle una liposucción.
Me han gustado mucho sus sistemas de seguridad, aunque echo de menos soluciones ya vistas en su segmento, como el control de crucero activo por radar (ACC), o el sensor de volante “manos libres” (vamos, detecta que lo sueltas) o frenada de emergencia automática. Lo veo en tecnología puesto al día de todas formas.
Si consumiese menos y tuviese un peso más optimizado se habría llevado una nota superior. Me quedo con el gran salto sobre el Vectra OPC, parecen coches hechos por marcas diferentes. Cómo se han notado casi 10 años de avances, ¿cómo será su sucesor? Se me ponen los pelos de punta, y los de la cabeza también.
