Otra versión del Subaru WRX STI (http://www.motorpasion.com/coches/deportivos/subaru-wrx-sti) ha sido lanzada esta semana en Japón, el más “gordo” que hay para calle. Hablamos del WRX STI spec C, que se ofrece con la carrocería compacta. Se suma por tanto al modelo normal (WRX STI), WRX STI A-Line (http://www.motorpasion.com/subaru/2011-subaru-impreza-wrx-sti-a-line) y WRX STI tS (http://www.motorpasion.com/subaru/subaru-wrx-sti-ts-solo-para-japon).

El turbocompresor de cojinetes de bolas reduce su fricción, ofreciendo 8 Nm más de fuerza al motor, que entrega 430 Nm a 4.400 RPM y 308 CV a 6.400 RPM. No está mal, saliendo de un motor bóxer de 1.994 cc. Está aligerado con capot de aluminio, ventanillas laminadas y una batería más pequeña.

Ha sufrido algunas modificaciones menores, como adopción de un diferencial autoblocante Torsen para el eje trasero, en vez de uno 100% mecánico. Donde más se nota la diferencia es por fuera, solo tenéis que ver cómo era el Subaru Impreza WRX STI spec C (http://www.motorpasion.com/subaru/subaru-impreza-wrx-sti-spec-c) (ahora no lleva la palabra Impreza).
